hearts  Welcome To PFLAG Lincoln, Nebraska Website !

We are the Lincoln, Nebraska chapter of PFLAG National

We are a national support, education and advocacy organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people, their families, friends and allies. With 200,000 members and supporters, and local affiliates in more than 500 communities across the U.S. and abroad, PFLAG is the largest grassroots-based family organization of its kind. PFLAG is a non-profit organization and is not affiliated with any religious or political institutions.

We are here to share the journey to acceptance with you. We are here to supporting each other as we discover and understand more about being human. We seek to change attitudes and to create an environment of understanding so that our GLBT family members and friends can live with dignity and respect.

About Our Meetings     4th Tuesday  We are meeting at Saint Paul United Methodist Church  (11 th & M ) until the renovation of the Unitarian Church of Lincoln is completed in the fall.

Our meetings provide  a safe, confidential space to share concerns, to get information and to get support.  Our meetings are attended by  parents, family, and friends of gays, lesbians, bisexual, and transgender persons, as well as  gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people themselves.  Our meetings are free and we welcome everyone.

Each year PFLAG recieves requests from professional & community organizations, educational institutions, churches, and community groups for speakers and panels.   PFLAG partners with the University of Nebraska's LGBTQA Speakers Bureau, Outspeaking.  The mission of Outspeaking is to increase awareness and understanding of the LGBTQA community and LGBTQA issues by providing educational workshops and panels.
